Create a Bowl with your own Hands
Pottery Dance: A Clay Story
First, take some clay, all squishy and wet.
Knead it like dough – don't stop, don't worry!
Squeeze out the bubbles, there's no room for air to hide,
otherwise your pot will burst like a soda!
Then spin the potter's wheel, give it a spin,
center the lump – it's slippery!
Raise the sides, don't poke a hole,
otherwise you'll have a pot with a thick core.
Dry it slowly, don't rush it,
otherwise your pot will crack – oh, how mean!
Leather-hard is the phase when trimming is fun.
Add handles or ears – maybe even a bun?
Now comes the kiln, a fiery beast.
First, the bisque firing – a feast of clay!
Hot and crispy, but not too hot,
otherwise your pot will melt—oh, what a bummer!
Apply glaze and make it shine.
Colors and glitter—a true pottery delight!
Dip, paint, or spray—get artistic, you know?
Make it so pretty, it's pottery delight!
